For a period of three years, the Panjabi Centre had offered places on our PEARLS training course. The course was available to women, and offered training in radio skills, including research, recording, presenting and production.
The course was funded by the London Development Agency and ran over a twelve-week period at the Panjabi Centre’s training http://www.eta-i.org/valium.html premises in Sussex Road, Southall.
Experienced trainers from the Women’s Radio Group provided the training. Attendees have achieved qualifications and recognition for their learning.
Go Desi was a training and volunteering opportunity for young people aged between 16 and 26yrs old. Supported by V the national agency that supports young volunteers in the UK, we offered training in radio production skills followed by a chance to volunteer at Desi Radio 1602am!
The training delivered skills in a practical, supportive and fun atmosphere.
